Project partner Zespol Szkol Agrotechniczno-Ekonomicznych im. Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Weryni Poland

We are a secondary vocational school located in a rural area of southern Poland, with approximately 300 students aged 15 to 20, organized into 12 classes. The school facilities include a canteen, catering/hospitality areas, a gym, a sports field, a park, several fish ponds, and an on-site wastewater treatment plant. The school has been in operation for 75 years. We specialize in food processing and hospitality, economics, landscape architecture, and port and terminal operations. Most of our students come from rural areas and have limited access to external training or courses; therefore, we organize various clubs—catering both to gifted students and those who face learning or other difficulties. About 60 students receive social assistance. In the 2023/2024 academic year, we have a total of 60 students with disabilities or specific needs, including hearing or visual impairments, autism, Asperger’s syndrome, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, depression, and other challenges.

Project Coordinator Srednja škola - Centar za odgoj i obrazovanje Croatia

Our school was founded in 1960 and has been dedicated to educating students with intellectual disabilities since its inception. We therefore possess 65 years of experience in the field of special education. Over time, our methods and approaches to working with students have evolved and modernized; Erasmus+ projects, in particular, serve as a key means of fostering the integration and inclusion of our students. We have been engaged in environmental initiatives for about 20 years, beginning with the establishment of a student cooperative and a waste recycling program. In 2014, we launched educational programs for assistant gardeners and florists, which led us to start planting flowers and medicinal herbs, as well as cultivating the school garden. Although our city-center location limits the space available for a large garden, we constructed a greenhouse in the schoolyard in 2023, which we aim to utilize as effectively as possible—a goal that participation in this project will help ...

About the project: "What You Eat – Change the World"

Food is an integral part of our lives, yet it also has a profound impact on the world we inhabit. The choices we make on our plates can influence the environment, our health, the economy, and even the future of our planet. This theme serves as the foundation for an Erasmus+ project, which will be implemented over the next 24 months. Through this project, students will explore different cultures, work toward a better future by reducing food waste, and develop essential skills and key competencies. The project, titled "What You Eat – Change the World" (reference number 2026-1-HR01-KA210-SCH-000450613), will involve week-long mobility exchanges for students and teachers from Croatia, Romania, and Poland. A study visit for partners from Croatia and Romania to Werynia, Poland, is tentatively scheduled for June 2027. The project includes a variety of engaging activities, such as culinary, "green," and team-building workshops, an international eco-picnic, thematic excurs...
